Broad Run Corner is a retail store and deli specializing in cheese and wine. Our story began in 1933 as a swiss cheese producer and grew from there adding wine manufacturing(Swiss Heritage wines) in 2002 and a restaurant and entertainment venue(Hans' Place) in 2018!

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the store manager in driving sales, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities: Ordering products, checking online store, scheduling staff, pricing items among other things.

- Assist the store manager in overseeing daily operations of the retail store

- Train and coach sales associates on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques

- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement

- Ensure proper stock levels and manage inventory effectively

- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner

- Conduct employee orientation and provide ongoing training to ensure staff is knowledgeable and motivated

- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees

- Maintain a clean and organized store environment

- Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately

Requirements:

- Previous experience in retail sales or management is preferred

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

- Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and other retail software

- Knowledge of wireless sales is a plus

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
